Your Privacy is Important to Us

Restaurant Programs of America, LLC (“RPA”) understands that privacy is an important issue for many of our clients and visitors to our website.  As part of our continuing commitment to client service, we want you to understand how we protect the information that you may provide us about your business, and how we use the information that we collect.

Business Information

Business information is information about you and your business.  For example, you may provide us with information such as your first and last name, business name, telephone number, and address if you wish to be contacted to discuss your insurance needs.

You may also provide more detailed information to us during your correspondence with us.  For example, as part of the quoting and application process, we may need to learn about the operating details of your restaurant, asset valuations (such as building, contents), financial information about your business, employee information, and past loss experience   We may also collect this kind information in the process of securing coverage on your behalf, making coverage changes, or addressing claims.  From time to time, we may also collect information about you and your business from third parties such as reporting agencies who may provide claim reports or credit information as allowed by law.

Importantly, we do not sell identifiable information to third parties.

What Information Do We Disclose?

Information about our prospective customers, customers, or former customers will only be disclosed in order to conduct our own business activities and then only as permitted by law. We may also need to disclose such information if required by law, a subpoena, or a court order. Information about your business, which we have collected, is maintained in your policy, claims or other client-specific records. We use this Information to process and service your policy and manage claims, or with your consent, or as directed by you. We may also disclose it to persons or organizations as necessary to perform transactions you request or authorize.

For example, we may need to exchange information about you with our representatives, carriers, investigators, appraisers, attorneys, and other persons who are or will become involved in processing your application and servicing your policy or any claims you may make.

We may also share your Information for other permitted purposes, including:

with another insurance company if you have a claim involving another insurance carrier;

with institutions in order to verify coverage or conduct operations or services audits;

with state insurance departments or other governmental or law enforcement authorities if required by law or to protect our legal interests or in cases of suspected fraud or illegal activities; or

if ordered by a subpoena, search warrant, or other court order.

We restrict access to identifiable information about you and your business to those employees or consultants whom we have determined need to know that information to provide products or services to you.

A Special Note about Online Requests for Quotes:

When you complete an online request for a quote, information is collected to help us offer you proper coverage. If you have recently completed an online request for a quote, your name will remain in our quotation system database. If you have shown interest in obtaining a quote in the past you may receive a courtesy reminder when your current policy approaches the renewal date. As part of providing you with an actual quotation, RPA may request credit information in accordance with applicable state law and confirm your claims history. 

How We Communicate with You

If you have provided us with your e-mail address, RPA may use your e-mail address from time to time to let you know about new services, and to confirm completion of transactions, unless you request that we not communicate with you by e-mail.

Third Party Websites

The RPA website may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned by RPA. RPA has no control over their privacy practices and assumes no responsibility in connection with your use of their websites. We recommend that you check the privacy policy of any website before you provide any identifiable information.

Acquisitions

In the event that RPA or any of its assets are acquired by a third party, Business Information or other information collected by us may be one of the assets transferred.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

From time to time, RPA may update or change the terms of this Privacy Policy.  Therefore, we recommend that you check our site periodically to ensure that you are aware of our current privacy practices.  Use of our site or services will indicate your assent to any changes.
